As the temps go up, get down at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas all summer long

LAS VEGAS (June 6, 2022) – Celebrate summer at the Haus all season long, with special menus, seasonal offerings, nightly live music, contests and more at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas. Beat the heat with Dark Wheat! Available for a limited time, Hofbräu Dunkel Weizen boasts an incomparable flavor profile that has pleased even the most discerning of beer lovers for centuries. Its rich brunette hue makes it beautiful on the outside, but it is what’s on the inside that really counts. This unique brew is made from a variety of special malts including Munich malt, Caramel and Roestmalz, and is fermented similarly to light beer (which starts at 68° Fahrenheit and rises to 73.4°), but then it is stored at 37.4° for about one week —upside down! Due to the natural sedimentation, the yeast settles on the bottom of the keg. In order to redistribute the yeast, the keg remains upside down until just before tapping time. The beer is then bottled unfiltered and natural for quality and freshness you won’t find anywhere else. But if you want to try it, you’ll have to act fast and head over to Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas soon, as Dark Wheat is only available two times a year: early January and June.

Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is also proud to give back to the local community as a first-time participant of Las Vegas Restaurant Week, taking place June 6 through 17. Las Vegas Restaurant Week (LVRW) is a 12-day celebration of dining in support of Three Square Food Bank, where participating restaurants create an exclusive three-course prix fixe menu. The special Restaurant Week menu at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas features a choice of Sommersalat mit Rettich (summer greens with red, white and watermelon radishes tossed in roasted red pepper ranch dressing and garnished with popcorn sprouts) or Brezen mit Obatzda und Radieschen (a freshly baked pretzel with Obatzda cheese and red radish rose) as an appetizer; for the entrée, a choice of either Räucherplatte (famous Smokehouse Platter featuring jalapeño-cheddar brat, Debreziner sausage and smoked pork loin, served with imported sauerkraut, homemade mashed potatoes and horseradish mustard) or Lachsforellenfilet mit Sommergemüse & Kräuterbutter (grilled salmon trout served with summer vegetables, French fries and herb butter, garnished with popcorn sprouts and a caramelized lemon); and for dessert, either Hausgemachter Brotpudding “Schwarzwälder Art” (homemade black forest bread pudding topped with black cherries, served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce) or Apfelstrudel (traditional apple strudel with vanilla sauce, imported from Germany).

On Sunday, June 19, say Prost to Papa with a special Father’s Day menu, which will include Bayerische Gulaschsuppe, Bavarian goulash soup garnished with croutons and chives; Gebackener Torntenbrie, brie cheese breaded and fried golden brown, served with a salad bouquet and garnished with fried parsley and cranberries; and an HB Smokehouse Platter, featuring Krainer sausage, Debreziner sausage and smoked pork loin served with imported sauerkraut, homemade mashed potatoes and horseradish mustard, and garnished with grilled pepperoncini and fried onions. For a special treat, dad can enjoy Apfel Brotpudding, homemade apple bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream and whiskey anglaise. Or imbibe the Jack’d Lager, featuring Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas’ famous original lager that boasts a crisp, hoppy flavor, spiked with a shot of Jack Daniels and garnished with a lemon.

Indulge in brats and brews to celebrate the red, white and blue this Independence Day with a special menu available on Monday, July 4. Start with Sommersalad mit Radieschen, a summer salad with Bavarian radish tossed in roasted red pepper ranch. Nothing is more American than BBQ, so for the main course, dig into the HB BBQ Combo Platter, featuring spicy breaded chicken wings with our famous cheddar cheese, Jalapeño Krainer sausage, sliced smoked pork loin, Bavarian bacon slaw, dark beer BBQ sauce and French fries. And give yourself a shock with the German Electric Lemonade, made with Deep Eddy Vodka, Marie Brizard Blue Curacao, fresh lemon sour and Hofbräu Original Lager.

Every Friday and Saturday evening through July 30, Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is hosting its annual stein holding competition, where the regional winner with the longest time will win a trip to New York City this September to compete in the finals for the title of “US Champion in Masskrugstemmen.” This game of strength and endurance is about who can hold “The Masskrug” - a 1 liter (34 oz.) mug - filled with beer at shoulder level with their arm extended for as long as they can. No beer can be spilled, no elbows can be bent, and your arm must stay parallel to the ground. The winner is the person who can keep their stein aloft the longest. The current best time at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Can you beat it?!
